The 6th Taihe Civilizations Forum to Open on September 3rd

From September 3rd to September 6th, 2022, the 6th Taihe Civilizations Forum (TCF) will be hosted, both online and on-site, in Beijing, China. This year's TCF will still follow the core theme of "Science Culture, Future Ethics, and Common Values" and comprises of three sub-sessions: Education and Culture, Economy and Technology, and International Relations. The forum focuses on agendas including, "Vocational Education and Economic Development," "Relying on Technology and Innovation to Create a New Zero-Carbon World," and "Security and Development in the Asia Pacific and Europe, and International Order," and has invited experts in respective fields from China and beyond to both exchange ideas and discuss them at length.

 

The forum will be attended by 22 representatives from the United Nations, the Secretariat of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Singapore, the American Chamber of Commerce in China, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, the National Committee on United States-China Relations, the China-Brücke e.V., and other international organizations, foreign embassies, consulates and agencies in China. 

 

Also attending are 57 experts and leaders from the China Public Diplomacy Association, the China-Japan Friendship Association, the China-Germany Friendship Association, the Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China, the Academic Committee of the AIDS Prevention Education Project for Chinese Youth, the China Association of International Trade, the China Energy Research Society, the Board of Supervisors of State-Owned Key Large Enterprises, the China Energy Conservation Association, the China Education Association for International Exchange, the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education, the China Hospitality Association and other organizations.

 

More than 42 scholars from over 20 universities, colleges and research institutions at home and abroad, including Johns Hopkins University, Yale University, Oxford University, National Research University Higher School of Economics of Russia, National University of San Marcos of Peru, Royal School of Administration of Cambodia, Peking University, Tsinghua University, China University of Political Science and Law, Beihang University, University of International Business and Economics, Beijing Normal University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Central South University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, China Academy of Labour and Social Security, Beijing Academy of Educational Sciences.

 

Additionally, over 20 corporate representatives are attending TCF, including those from the BGI Group, China International Futures Co., Ltd., Perfect World Education, Cheche Technology, Festo (China) Co., Ltd., WisePromise, HAO Capital, Carbonbase and Beijing Huazhi Education & Technology Co., Ltd.
